The Children Of The Planet Trust is dedicated to helping the poorest children around the world. We are committed to these children as they usually have no one else to turn to. The children that we help are often those affected by war, natural disasters or disease. In many cases, they have lost their fathers, mothers and other family members.
Such children are often called street children as they have no home and no friends to turn to. As such, they simply exist and survive on the streets as best they can. This means that they have very poor health and are at the mercy of disease and many other deadly threats. On top of this, they don’t receive any formal education and have little or no skills as they grow up.
Of course, this severely limits their chances in life, and the community does not benefit either. The Children Of The Planet Trust hopes to help these children before it becomes too late. We provide a curriculum and educate them as much as possible.
We teach them the basics of reading and writing so that they have a good understanding. Once this has been learnt we also teach them about computers and the internet. This is something that very few children in the developing world have access to, but we think it’s very important.
There are many other great charities that do incredible work such as cleaning water, providing food and erecting shelter. This is vital to the communities that have been affected by disease, war and natural disasters. What makes the Children Of The Planet Trust unique is that it focuses on children and their education.
We think this has a long term impact on the area and will help to give the community hope and freedom for the future generations. The educational curriculum is not based on any ideology or religious philosophy. It is purely organized to give the children what they need in order to raise their skill levels.
The power of positive thinking and looking to a bright future is something that we also teach the children. We have found that the children in these hard-hit areas of the world are incredibly resilient and positive anyway. There is a lot that other people can learn from them. They simply need to be given a little help and they can support themselves. This is the mission that we hope to provide as many children as possible.
